Last week, we reported the publication of the list of Ecodesign standards for tumble driers. Today we can report that the European Commission published the references of the Ecodesign standards for washing machines.
December 3, 2013 – Today, the European Commission has published the first list of harmonized Ecodesign and energy efficiency labeling standards for household tumble driers. The list currently contains only one standard: EN 61121:2013 – Tumble dryers for household use — Methods for measuring the performance IEC 61121:2012 (Modified) The published list pertains to Commission Regulation (EU) No 932/2012 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to ecodesign requirements for household tumble driers, as well as to Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 392/2012 supplementing Directive 2010/30/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to energy labelling of household tumble driers. Today, the European Commission published a Regulation with eco-design requirements (666/2013), as well as a Regulation with labeling requirements (665/2013) for vacuum cleaners. A vacuum cleaner is defined as: “an appliance that removes soil from the surface to be cleaned by an airflow created by under pressure developed within the unit”.
